Update language of sales order item description and billing document item description

Dear community,

System: SAP S/4HANA Public Cloud 2408

I have created a sales document, e.g. a sales order for a customer. In the business partner the country and standard communication language are set to DE for German language.

The text for the item description (from material master) in the sales order will now appear in DE language on all sales documents including billing documents. Even if I change language in the output items to EN the item description will always be displayed in the language of the customer, the rest of the form will change to EN.

Now I change the country and language of the customer e.g. to US and EN. All new sales documents and billing documents will be printed with EN item description taken from material master.

BUT: The old sales documents will still be printed with DE item description, the same is valid for new billing documents created from old sales documents after the change language in customer master. 

How can I change this behavior? There is an option for price updates, how can I mass update the item description in existing sales documents and downstream documents?

The system must always use the latest language entry from the business partner to determine the item language for description from material master.
