UOM Translation

Dear Experts,

I am trying to maintain Ukrainian Language tanslation one of the Unit of Measure *UoM) but not able to proceed.

I have gone to CUNI -  GO TO--> Translations but some different screens are coming as shown below,

Can anybody guide me how do i maintain the Ukrainian Language tanslation for UoM.

click continue on the second screen and SAP presents you the first segment of about 50 units  to do your translation.

when you are done you do the same for the next 50

The whole thing with proposal pool is explained in SAP Library - Translation Tools for Translators (BC-DOC-TTL)

some just logon in the other language and maintain it directly in CUNI  as if you change a unit

Thanks for the quick reply,

I just need to maintain for only ONE UoM which is MON - Months and for only one Language UK-Ukrainian Language

How i can do that.

also, some time before, I have seen below screen but not able to recollect how i have seen that screen

where I can see the Lanaguage Code and translation if maitained

your screen shot is the detail view of SE16 at table T006A

if it is just MON that needs to be translated, then logon in Ukraine language and execute CUNI

select the dimension time  and then click unit of measure button

find the internal unit MON , double click it and enter the Ukrainian unit names and description.

while trying to do as mentioned by you, getting below error

My basis team confirmed that UK lang is activated but still...

moreover, is there any other way to do it by loggin in EN language...

I think your basis team must have done something wrong. The language is not installed as the message clearly says.  they may just have allowed UK as communication language, but not as complete language for logon.

An alternative way, but not really different is via SE63

there choose from menu  Translation > Abap objects > Short texts

then open Application texts and double click TABL

as object enter the client number followed by the table name T006A: e.g. 800T006A in an IDES system,

make sure you select the correct source and target language (make use of F4, the shown entries have subentries !)

then you get a pop-up to enter the internal measurement number,

and rest is like in CUNI > translation

I have done as you mentioned but getting below error

My client is 100 only so entering 100T006A. so how should i progress from here?

also, where i can enter the UK text for Month.

Sorry I made a small mistake in the guideline above, do not enter the client directly.

SE63 

there choose from menu  Translation > Abap objects > Short texts

click EDIT

the object name changes to: ---T006A                         +

click again EDIT

then you get a pop-up to enter the internal measurement number,

and rest is like in CUNI > translation
