Unreleased CDS Views

Dear Team,

There are some of views that want to see and use in the system but with unreleased status for now.

Is there any way we can use unreleased views for now? If not, may I know when they would roughly get available? Thank you.

Dear Customer,

In View Browser app, when searching for a CDS View, you'll be able to see two columns "Key User Release State" and "Cloud Dev. Release State":

• Cloud Development State column shows if the CDS View is released for custom development in the SAP S/4HANA Cloud ABAP Environment. (This will be applicable for the 3-SL for Cloud ABAP environment for Developer Extensibility)
• Key User State column shows if the CDS View is released for usage in Key User applications, for example in Custom CDS Views app.

If a CDS View is "Not Released" in one or both columns, this means that it's not possible to use it for that purpose (Key User Extensibility or Developer Extensibility).

It's not possible to use Not Released CDS Views in S/4HANA Cloud system. The CDS Views that are not released are also not planned to be available.

I really understand how important is for you to use both CDS Views, so I tried to find a workaround and I found that you can use the View Browser to search for similar released CDS Views that could help you with your requirement.

For that, you'll need to use the "Alternative Search" option in the View Browser app and search for the necessary fields. For example, the CDS View I_CUSTSTATUSCHANGEEVENT contains the element "CustomerEventRecordID". If this field is necessary for your requirement, you can search in the Alternative Search for it and all the CDS Views containing this field will be available. You can choose the one that best fits for you if it's released.

Thank you for the detailed explanation. I was searching topic on how to use CDS views with not released status.

Can you please advise on how to use Fiori Apps for example Manage Purchasing Categories which has behind the CDS view C_PurchasingCategoryFs which is not released.

When I was comparing data from the report C_PurchaseOrderSpendQuery which is also not released I wasn't able to get the same amount as in the Application Manage Purchasing Orders. Will this APP and query be out of usage in the future or what to use instead?

Do you know maybe which report or on top of which CDS view I should build the report to show correctly data for Apps Manage Purchasing Categories?
