Unable to repeat depreciation run in S4H : Error AAPO524

Dear All

After migration to S4H, we are unable to repeat depreciation run for a period. e.g. Depreciation is posted in FY 2022 period 3 for company code xxxx.
After depreciation run, some assets were capitalized further in period where depreciation is already posted. User wants to execute depreciation for these assets in same period but AFAB gives error message AAPO524 "CCode YYYY/AP INDS/FY 2022: Depreciation run for period xx no longer possible".

In ECC, user could execute AFAB with radio button "Repeat" but now that option is not available.

How can user post depreciation in this scenario ?

You are getting the error which means that all the planned depreciation run is already completed. Please check if the assets which were capitalized have any planned value for depreciation posting as explained in the blog. If there are planned values, which have not been posted, you just need to execute AFAB again for the period to post the remaining depreciation.

Hi Sanil

Asset has value in HSL field in table FAAT_PLAN_VALUES in same period where depreciation was posted earlier. I checked blog as well.

The simplification list explains the logic for depreciation posting clearly as per what I stated.

Look at Section 10.2.19. I would recommend to open an incident with Product Support in this case.
