Hi all!
Greetings!
We are installing SAP Business One 10.0 PL2008 afresh on a Windows system having SQL Server 2017 as its backend. While installing, we are able to install all the components of SAP Business One except the server tools and the related services. Upon checking the logs, we noticed that the installation is faililng with a log entry as below:
"Application execution failed with error 24"
SLDModel.SLDDATA database is also not created but all the other databases are getting created.
Please suggest what needs to be done.

Hi Bharath,
There are a few potential solutions to this issue:
1. Check and make sure that the user account being used to install SAP Business One has the necessary permissions to create and modify databases in SQL Server.
2. Verify that the SQL Server instance is configured correctly and that it is accessible from the system where SAP Business One is being installed.
3. Check the system logs to see if there are any other errors or warning messages that might be related to the installation failure.
4. If all else fails, try uninstalling and reinstalling SAP Business One or contact SAP support for further assistance.

Same problem is in version 2308.
Obviously some the versions has problem be installed as fresh install and possible is just use them for upgrade.

Hi Nidhi Singh,
Greetings!
Thanks for the reply.
I have gone through the notes referred to and understood that the installation can fail because of a special character in SQL or B1SIteUser. However, we are using a very simple password containing only alphabets and numbers like sa2017
