Hi,
Seems the serial number profile was assigned to the material after the GRN. In this case, instead of material doc cancellation, you may post a Goods "Receipt" using 102 movement, which will ultimately reduce the stock. Go to MIGO - Goods Receipt - Purchase Order, and select the movement type as 102 and post the document.
