UDF's Value can't save to SAP

Hi all experts,

Why SAP can't save UDF's value to SAP?

Please see the video file to see detail.

My SAP version is: 8.82 PL04

Hi Gordon,

I don't use any FMS and SP in Production Order. but i test with Sales Order, Delivery,A/R Invoice Row,

It can work and can also insert the udf's value to database.

It Is Application error check with the SAP Notes.. If you upgrade to PL5 it will

Symptom

If you create a User-Defined Field (UDF) on Production Order rows and try to add production order with some value in UDF, this value is not stored. When you get back to added production order, field is empty, and even if you try to update the value in UDF on added document, it is still not stored.

Cause

Application Error.

Solution

SAP intends to provide patches in order to solve described problem.

The section Reference to related Notes below will list the specific Patches when available.

The corresponding Info file of Patches on SAP Service Marketplace will show the correction / SAP Note number also.

Be aware that these references can only be set at Patch release date.

SAP will deliver Patches only for selected Releases at its own discretion, based on the business impact and the complexity of the implementation.

Hi Tony,

Set the default value for that field in the user defined field Management option and then try.

I tested with default value, it record only the default value and when i change the default value to other value, it still keep the default.

Hi Soeun Tony..

Have you checked in the Table does is updated or not... After Update close the form and reopen and see..

Check with the field type ...

it is nothing effect to this field in table after i add or update in production line.

I already remove and input value to this field by manually (not link to other UDT).

But it still can't record.

I think it seems to be Bug Raise the ticket in sap..
