Hello,
I have assigned the control key YBM2 to an operation and entered the external services related details for that operation in the Service tab for that operation. When we release the order system creates two PR items. One for the external service and another for the operation itself. We need only one PR item. What is the reason two PR items are triggering for one external operation. When we try to convert the operation related PR item to PO, system throws an error that there is not value maintained in PR. We do not want to maintain any value because we have already maintained all values ($) in external services. Please help to suppress the unnecessary PR items triggering from control key YBM2.
Request clarification before answering.
HI, please check the config id 103825 for YBM2:Whether just one purchase requisition (collective purchase requisition) should be generated for externally procured components and external operations for each order.
Hope it can help you .

Hello,
I am not sure if the problem was solved.
As I understand the configuration described in the previous answer is the configuration for order type and the plant and called "Define change documents, collective purchase requisition, MRP relevance". And if the setting "Collective Requisition" is active, then only one PR will be generated for one maintenance order.
But the problem still remains, that I have separate PR items: 1 - for the operation with control key YBM2 and 2 - for the service.
Does anyone know how to deactivate the creation of PR Item for the operation with control key YBM2 itself? We need only PR Items for the services or materials which are planned inside of the operation.
#LeanServices #EAM
For example the maintenance order with an operation with control key YBM2. Inside the operation the services are planned with the price 20 EUR
From the maintenance order was generated one PR but with two PR Items.
Thanks for any answer!
Hello,
Not sure if you found an answer to this, but i will tell you my solution.
When using a control key with external processing (e.g., YBM2 with External Operation flag active), SAP automatically generates a PR item for the operation itself, even if service lines (item category D) are already defined under the Services tab. So, you end up with:
- One PR item from the external operation itself (which is empty if no value is maintained).
- One PR item from the service line (item category D) — which contains your actual service data.
You need to adjust the control key configuration to avoid PR generation from the operation line: “Define Control Key” -> Control key: YBM2 -> Deselect the Following Flags: External Processing → Uncheck this; Automatically generate PR (if available) uncheck this.
You can test it and see if it works for you 🙂
Best regards,
Luisa
Hi @Luisa_Ispan,
Many thanks for shared information.
This is what I see in "define control Key" SSCUI.
You mentioned that "deselect the flag for external processing", but there is no flag!
