Hi Experts,
we have a business requirement to calculate QTD values in Group Reporting using Group Data Analysis Report. But unfortunately we don't have QTD as one of the period mode at the time of selecting periodicity like how we select YTD as the period mode during execution of GR reports using GDA Fiori app.
Hence wanted to check if there is any solution that for calculating QTD values using Custom Analytical queries or using SAP AFO for GR reports as enhancing CDS views for achieving the same seems to be complex.
Thanks in advance for your help.
Thanks and Regards,
Ajay Chillarige.

Hi Ajay,
You can definitely create the QTD Query on top of the existing CDS View in 2021 though I don't know the actual steps you have to go through to do that. Hopefully the SAP Note mentioned above or possible google search for a blog will help you do that.
I just wanted to point out that in 2022 SAP has delivered a query that does this and more. But if you are not on 2022 then of course you can't use that.
Check out the SAP Group Reporting Community Page as it has all the latest info including a recap of what's in S/4HANA 2022 and many other things about Group Reporting.
https://community.sap.com/topics/s4hana-group-reporting.
The new Query wasn't mentioned in the 2022 release notes but I did a search for it and found that it was installed with the software. It's going to be used as basis of a new Reporting Tool called the Financial Statement Review booklet that's already in Public Cloud and looks like planned for formal release with Private with the 2023 release this fall. But it was super easy to point Analysis for Office to the query and get AO reports with QTD and other new features.
all the best
Arleigh
