Time-based inspection points are scheduled to repeat every 1 hour. In operation 0010, three inspection characteristics (MIC1, MIC2, and MIC3) are assigned. During the initial in-process inspection, all three characteristics should be included in the inspection lot. However, for subsequent time-based inspections, only one characteristic (MIC3) should be repeated, while the others should not be required. (Restricted to a single inspection characteristic).
Current System Behavior
In the standard setup of time-based inspection points (configured in the routing header and operation), all three inspection characteristics are repeated at every time interval. We also tested the approach of splitting into two separate operations, but it does not fulfill the requirement as intended.
Business Need
The requirement is to achieve this functionality within a single operation, so that:
- Initial check = MIC1 , MIC2 & MIC3.
- Subsequent hourly checks = only MIC3.
How can we achieve this in S/4HANA Public Cloud?
