Hello Dear Community,

With 1908, we see subtle changes with regards to the generic Fiori UI header. The vision is to standardized the Fiori experience across cloud products. Thoughts? Feedback?

Kind regards,

Feras

It's not that radically different?!

When is it being rolled out across the other parts of the SAP product suite?

I think it will make a big difference once SF, Ariba, Concur etc all get a more similar look and feel. Is there a roadmap to outline exactly what is to be rolled out when.

I think areas like having a common workflow inbox etc will be when the real benefits start to become apparent.

Hi ccsmith

Thank you for answering the question and confirming that it is not radically different - indeed this is an important acknowledgement as gradual change would tend to lead to a more seamless adoption.

First I would like to mention that this new Fiori layout is part of the Fiori 3.0 initiative and first delivered with S/4HANA Cloud 1908:

https://experience.sap.com/news/first-parts-of-sap-fiori-3-available-with-sap-s-4hana-cloud-1908/

Second regarding the publicly made available road map please see below:

I will get back to this post once I hear more elaborate plans on deliverable per cloud product like Concur for instance.

You mentioned a great example with the workflow inbox and potential room for reaping benefits. To that end please see the below presentation on Fiori Lighthouse Scenarios:

Hope this information clarifies,

Kind regards,

Feras

I echo Claire's thoughts that it isn't a radical change once you get used to things shifting around (like the user and setting info being on the other side of the screen). Some of the changes aren't particularly intuitive at first either like the fact you can click on the SAP icon to get you back to the home screen (like you could with the home button). Overall I think the UI is cleaner and potentially more functional, but would love SAP broadcasting these kind of changes more in the What's New documents leading up the release so it isn't a complete surprise it looks different.

Just my $0.02 for what its worth... now if we could just get SAP to modernize some of the ECC looking apps sooner...
