Hello,
for our polish company code we introduced the hard currency as a 3rd local currency to be able to work with different exchange rates.
1st Currency 10 PLN- FX type M - daily rates by ECB (source document currency)
2nd Currency 30 EUR- FX type M - daily rates by ECB (source 1st LC)
3rd Currency 40 PLN- FX type PL1 - weekly manual rates by NBP (source document currency)
We also introduced an own depreciation area.
In our local group template we are using investment measures (internal orders) to deal with AuC. This is working fine for all company codes with two currencies. But now in Poland we have the following problem:
Investment Order 4711 receives an incoming invoice about 1000 Euros. The posting on the expense account is using the following figures (Rates in my example are not real rates)
DC = 1000 Euros
LC1 = 4010 PLN (Rate 4,010 ECB)
LC2 = 1000 Euros (Rate /4,010 ECB)
LC3 = 4025 PLN (Rate 4,025 NBP)
When the Investment order is settled to the AuC the following figures are posted
DC = 4010 PLN
LC1 = 4010 PLN
LC2 = 1000 Euros (/4,010 ECB)
LC3 = 4010 PLN
So on the AuC the depreciation are 01 and the new one 50 which should be in PLN converted by NBP are the same values instead of the following figures:
01 = 4010 PLN (Local ECB)
15 = 1000 Euros (Group ECB)
50 = 4025 PLN (Local NBP)
On the first view it is clear ... CO is dealing only with Object and controlling area values in the standard settlement process and the object currency get the transaction currency and that means transaction currency gets PLN and not EUR and the 3rd currency in the FI document will be 1:1 copy from the transaction currency.
The alternative for the AuC process with CO (investment orders/ Investment projects) would be the pure FI-AA AuC process
- Creating AuC with AS01
- Posting line items directly to the asset
- Using AIAB for Distribution
- Using AIBU for Settlement
In this case the different depreciation areas are filled with correct values.
My question is now ... is the alternative i mentioned here the only way so that the 3rd currency is correctly transferred to the asset ledger or did I something missed in the setup of the investment order.
Regards
Holger

Hello Paulo,
thx for your answer is it possible that you take this screenshot from a S/4 HANA System. I myself does not have any experience with S/4 HANA but i learned already that the limitation of two currencies won't longer exist there.
Regards
Holger
P.S.: Do you still know the OSS Note number you're talking about.
