TECO vs DLV

If an order can only be one status, either TECO or DLV, which is best for an order to have?

The assumption is that if an order is TECO, that it never has to have the DLV status because TECO accomplishes ALL the same things DLV does.  Is that entirely true?

The Status "DLV" means it has been done the goods receipt for the production order.

The status "TECO" means technology close the production order, pls check the background configuration BS22 to check whether it blocks the "goods receipt".

Since in my experience,  many projects will set "Forbidden" for "RMWF".

So if set "Forbidden" for "RMWF", and you did TECO firstly, then you cannot do the goods receipt for the production order. (Which means the production order will only have TECO status) .

If you want to do the goods receipt, you should cancel the "TECO" firstly, and then do the "goods receipt" activity.

If you do the goods receipt firstly, and then do the TECO, it will contain both status.

Hi Anthony
TECO & DLV are the two independent statuses of an Order.
Meaning, without DLV also, there is possibility, Order can get TECO status, at the same time, once the Order has DLV, doesn't mean it is updated with TECO Status. (Attached the screen shot below, just for example)
Hope, this is clear. Thanks & Regards: Raja
