Dear SAP community ,
I am reaching out to report ongoing issues with the SAP ERP 6.0 EhP6 for Data Migration to SAP S/4HANA (Trial Version) appliance. Despite multiple attempts to resolve the issue, the appliance remains in a failed state and is currently unusable. Below are the steps I have taken so far to address the problem:
1. AWS Integration and Security Group Configuration:
• Configured the appropriate security group rules for inbound and outbound traffic (e.g., ports 22, 443, 8080).
• The public IP address of my network has been correctly added to the rules.
2. Connection Testing via SSH and HTTPS:
• I successfully connected to the AWS instance, but the software status in the Cloud Appliance Library continues to show as “Failed”.
3. Recreating the Appliance:
• I terminated and recreated the appliance entirely, but the issue persists.
4. Logs and Diagnostics:
• I attempted to access the logs of the virtual machine but could not identify any specific details regarding the root cause of the failure.
Error Message and Additional Details:
• AWS Instance ID: i-06b1dd20d3be57d86
• Appliance Status: Active, but software status failed.
• Instance Public IP Address: 44.223.17.212
• AWS Region: us-east-1
• Logs: No relevant entries or specific indicators visible in the appliance interface or AWS console.
• Error Message in Appliance: “The software deployment failed on at least one virtual machine.
Additionally, I have attempted various configurations, including:
• Modifying the network settings,
• Reviewing AWS configurations,
• Restricting the IP range
Additional Information:
• Trial Version: SAP ERP 6.0 EhP6 for Data Migration to SAP S/4HANA
• Access through SAP CAL: Yes
• Login Credentials: Registered via SAP Universal ID and AWS Cloud account.
