I have custom fields within the Emergency Contact portlet; is it possible to display these within the Emergency Contact summary on the Employee File? Currently, only the standard fields appear (Name, Phone Number, Emergency Contact flag)
Thank you very much in advance for any help anyone can provide!!

Yes, it is possible to display custom fields within the Emergency Contact summary on the Employee File. You will need to modify the Employee File view to include these custom fields. Here are the steps to do this:
Once you have completed these steps, your custom fields should be displayed in the Emergency Contact summary on the Employee File. If you have any issues with this process, you may want to reach out to your HR system's support team for assistance.

Hi Brenda, thank you for your reply. What do you mean exactly by "Go to the Employee File view in your HR system"? Access the employee profile? Could you please send a screenshot?
Hi everyone,
After 7 years, I've got a similar question. In the Emergency Contact portlet we have a field called "Country/Region" as a custom-string which indicates the phone indicative code. This is a mandatory field and therefore we would like it to appear directly before the phone field in the Emergency Contacts portlet when clicking on "Edit". Rearranging the field order in Manage Business Configuration do not produce any effect on the UI before clicking on "Edit Details" inside the portlet. Also, it is not possible in the Configure People Profile menu.
Does anyone know if this is still not possible to overcome?
Thank you.

As far as I am aware, you cannot change which fields preview in portlets in People Profile. This may change in a later release.
