Hi Friends,
I have the below problem with the issue storage location determination in the production order ,
PP Order with 2 components comming from different storage locations
Com p 1 - Sloc X - Material master MRP-2 sloc X - Work cneter PSA with Sloc X
Comp 2- sloc Y - Material master MPR-2 sloc Y -Work center PSA with Sloc X(As WC is common for both the materials )
When I create PP order with CO01 T-CODE system works good ,it picks the storage location as below in PP order
Copm 1 - Sloc X
Comp 2- Sloc Y (as required as material is maintained in Sloc Y and MPR-2 sloc is Y)
But when I create order with CO10 T-CODE I have the below result in the PP order which is not desired
Copm 1 - Sloc X
Comp 2 -Sloc X (Which should be Y as per the material master settings and the comp2 is not maiantained for Sloc X)
Please let me know if any OSS note needs to be applied for this case , I am using ECC 6.0 version.
Thanks and Regards,
Mallik.

Hello
The issuing storage location is determined in three steps in the production order:
o First, the issue storage location of the material to be issued
(MARC-LGPRO) is transferred to the material master from the MRP
data if it is filled.
o The system overwrites this value with the issue storage location
from the bill of material (RC29P-LGORT, STPO-LGORT) if it is
filled.
o If the operation to which the component is assigned in production
order contains a work center with supply area, the storage
location is transferred from this supply area (PVBE-LGORT).
However, this transfer is only carried out if storage location
data (MARD) is maintained for this storage location for the
material.
Note 137225 provides more details about the storage location determination.
