Stock to get Replenished

Hello Folks,

I have a confusion on Stock Replenished quantity control.

Material XX is in Fixed Bin AX - 04- 04

Suppose Max Qty :10 , Min Qty : 4 , Replenishment Qty : 3

Current Bin AX- 04- 04 holds stock = 3  ,so now the Bin AX-04-04 should replenished by  3 qty.

when i run the LP21 the Replenished requested quantity by system = 7 qty

But according to setting the replensihed requested qty should be : 3

Hi

Replinishment always done to fulfill/reach maximum quantity you mentioned in system i.e 10. So, when you run LP21 system replenish 7 qty to fulfill 10 maximum quantity which result is 7.

Maximum bin qty= it is the quantity till which replenishment will happen

Minimum bin qty= triggering point for replenishment

Replenishment qty= it is qty which will take into account for multiplication during replenishment to reach maximum qty

U mean it will triggered to replenished maximum quantity regardless of qty defined in Replenishment

qty field in material master ?

Replenish mention quantity is the multiplication of quantity.

Maximum 360.

Replenishment is 12 (which is a dozen of box) and replenishment done multiplication of 12 pcs upto reach maximum 360 quantity.

Hi,

This replenish in WM is a transfer withing WM from one area to another. Assume that there is a delivery counter which has lesser space comparing to another storage which is large enough to hold huge quantities.

Counter can require to hold always  - 1000 pcs. (Maximum)

Whenever counter quantity below - 400 pcs (Minimum)

Replenish quantity to be - 10 pcs (1 box).

So whenever stock below 400 with multiplication of 10x40 - stock replenish to maximum level at fixed bin location.

Hi John,

There are 2 methods in fixed bin replenishment, one is based on minimum/max quantity and other is based on replenishment quantity.

If you wanted to use based on min/max quantity method, then you should not enter the replenish quantity and if you wanted to use replenish quantity method, then the replenishment quantity shoud always be greater than the minimum quantity so that the system will pick the replenishment quantity to replenish the stock.
