Hi All,

We have requirement from client that if sales order is not confirmed with stock when stock is not available then when PO is created, PO stock which ordered stock should confirm line item in sales order.

I have maintained availability check ST in scope of check as below to consider only confirmed stock without RLT and checked with purchased requisitions with purchase order include for STO order quantity.

material also maintained for ST availability check.

when i created sales order where stock was not available and I created PO for the same material, it updated order stock in stock overview for material.

PO is approved and order stock is available but sales order is not getting confirmed.

Can anyone please explain if i am missing any configuration or why this issue is happening?

Thanks in Advanced

Hello,

It seems like you are facing issues with the Product Availability Check (PAC) where the sales Supply Chain - Product Availability Check (PAC) order is not being confirmed despite the Purchase Order (PO) stock being available. Based on the configuration you’ve described, let’s explore possible reasons and configurations that might be missing:

Availability Check Configuration

  1. Availability Check Setting: Ensure that your availability check (‘ST’) at the material master considers only current stock without replenishment lead time. This means it typically won’t consider purchase orders unless specific configurations for ‘Stock and Reliable Receipts’ (SR) or ‘Stock and Planned Receipts’ (SP) are used, which take purchase orders into account.

  2. Scope of Check: Check Supply Chain - Configuring the Product Availability Check that in your configuration environment, you have defined ‘Checking Control’ accurately to include the purchase orders during sales order creation. For ‘ST’, confirmation is given based on the current stock, and purchase orders may not contribute unless configured otherwise.

Purchase Order Integration

  • Integration Missing: Since you expect PO stocks to confirm the sales order line item, you might need to adjust your configuration to include purchase orders in your availability check logic. Ensure you have your checking rule set to consider incoming purchase orders.

Manual Entry

  • Manual Availability Check: If changes are made to stock levels or if purchase orders are confirmed after the initial sales order creation, a manual availability check might need to be triggered to update the confirmations.
