STO creation by using MRP run

Hi,

I'm able to create STO manually with delivery from plant to plant. I want STO's be created automatically by using MRP run. Can someone please suggest me the step by step process and configuration required for that. In master data im using special procurement type - 45, procurement type - F. Also please suggest master data requirement also. Please do needful.

And also, i cant see special procurement type -40 in our system. Do we need to create manually or SAP standard system will have type 40?

Hi Anudeep,

MRP won't create a STO. MRP will create a Stock Transfer requisition, which then needs to be converted into a Stock Transfer Order. You can do this after running MRP directly in any of the apps like "Manage Material Coverage".

To do this, you need to have the material create in both plants. Then on the supplier plant you need to have stock, then run MRP on the plant that is missing the inventory. The system will create a stock transfer requisition.

To execute this process, you need to have in the Material Master Record on the MRP 2 View you need to have a special procurement key 45 - "Stock Transfer from Plant to MRP area"

Special procurement key - 40 we cant see in our system, is it standard procurement key given by SAP or do we need to create manually?

Hi Anudeep,
Yes if you don‘t have 45 in your system, you can manually configure the same with the following configuration.

After that, you can choose 45(or any other numbers) from the product master screen.
