I'm a new learner and i want to know steps to activate workflow and external notifications on SAP S/4HANA.

Though the definitive classic "text book" is unavailable online currently [ https://www.sap-press.com/practical-workflow-for-sap_3615/ ] you can probably find one or more of the authors here to comment. I won't "@" them for privacy reasons, but maybe they will see this and chime in. I've met some of them and they are great!
