Stanard cost estimate using CK11N

I have created a cost estimate using CK11N and marked and released it.
I noticed that for one of the lower level subassembly, the system has
recalculated the standard and created a cost estimate for it with costing
status "KA". For this subassembly, there was already a released (Status
"FR") cost estimate from the beginning of the year with different
standard.

My questions are :

1)Is there a way in CK11N to tell the system to use released cost estimate
for the lower level subassembly instead of recalculating cost estimate?

2)Why didn't the system mark and release cost estimate for the lower level subassembly

when I released the cost estimate for the final assembly. I have seen it happening when I used CK40N in the beginning of the year.

3) Is there a report to identify what caused the change in standard for the
lower level subassembly? I can go through CK13N report side by side for the
"FR" cost estimate and "KA" cost estimate. But it will be
time consuming.

Thanks

Sanjiv

Hi Sanjiv

Ans to Q1 : Make use of transfer control for this requirement.

Ans to Q2 : Ck40N has this functionality but in case of Ck11N you have to mark and release all the                     materials using CK24

Ans to Q3 : I am not on the sap system right now but I if I am not wrong you can use ck79_99 for this                     requirement. Kindly check once and revert.

Hi,

Regarding your question 1 of using existing cost estimate data, you can consider to use the transfer control of existing cost estimate. You can config the customizing in OKKN for the costing variant.

More information of the functionality can be found in the SAP library:

Hi Sanjiv,

The answers for your queries are as follows:

1)Is there a way in CK11N to tell the system to use released cost estimate
for the lower level subassembly instead of recalculating cost estimate?

I guess it is not possible in the standard SAP.

2)Why didn't the system mark and release cost estimate for the lower level subassembly

when I released the cost estimate for the final assembly. I have seen it happening when I used CK40N in the beginning of the year.

In CK11N also, the cost estimate release will happen to subassembly also.

3) Is there a report to identify what caused the change in standard for the
lower level subassembly? I can go through CK13N report side by side for the
"FR" cost estimate and "KA" cost estimate. But it will be
time consuming.

You can see it KEKO table with below costing statuses.

KA          Costed Without Errors

KF           Costed with Errors

VO          Marked Without Errors

VF           Marked with Errors

FR           Released Without Errors

FF           Released with Errors

Thanks Ravi.

For # 2, the release is not happening for subassembly. The cost estimate for subassembly is  in status "KA".  I'm using CK11N. Do I need to use CK40N to release the estimate for the subassembly?

For # 3, I was hoping for a report to see the changes (receipt, BOM etc.) which caused the change in standards.

Hi,

In that case use CK24 to release the cost estimate, But ideally once you release the FG cost estimate it will release for all sub assemblies.

For # 3, I was hoping for a report to see the changes (receipt, BOM etc.) which caused the change in standards.

please create a standard cost estimate report for all your in-house materials by using the tables KEKO and KEPH.

This report will give complete picture of the costed materials.
