Special Stock Batch Determination for consignment issue with reference of consignment fill up Order

Our business scenario is as below:

We are running production order against consignment sales as this is make to order as per the customer specifications. As production order is getting reserved against special stock for consignment fill up, we are unable to determine the batch, as the system considers only unrestricted stock.

Also, it will be not best practice to determine the batch at the consignment fill up order, as the production team will produce stock against order, so as per process batch should be determined at the delivery level. With reference to consignment fill up order, we will create consignment issue, where same batch should be determined for the consumption.

How to handle batch determination from consignment fill up to consignment issue, where same batch should be determined throughout the process which has been generated by production team against consignment fill up order.

I think we should analyze this case point by point.

Regarding the first part:

Yes you are right, by default system is checking unrestricted stock during batch determination. In this case you would need to create your own procedure for special stock (create condition table where one of the fields would be special stock - SOBKZ).

For example key combination could look like:

- Order type/Plant/Special Stock

Of course you would also need to add this table to the to access sequence and finish the configuration (please let me know if you need a detailed information here).

And the second part of the case is that production is producing goods against consignment fill-up order (if misunderstood it please let me know). So after the production goods are goods receipt on stock with a special stock = E (customer order stock). So we have on stock material with specific batch assigned to customer stock. And we want to use the same batch during consignment issue process (consignment sales). In this case I think there should be any problem since during the shipment of customer order stock (special stock = E) to customer it will change the special stock type. At this moment special stock = O (consigment).

At this moment condition table that has been created previously should solve the problem with batch determination.
