Spare parts inventory management for maintenance

Hello everyone,

Please forgive me if the question is too simple, I am new.

I would like some help with spare parts inventory management. What's the best process for the following scenario:

I would like one person to be able to create a new spare part material (MM01?) and assign the correct quantity. 

Then, if the part is used up, I would like to change the stock level to 0 so if the same part is ordered again I just need to change it back to the correct amount without needing to create it again.

Then, if a part is no longer needed, i would like to delete it from the system.

If someone could provide me with a workflow and some Tcodes for this I would greatly appreciate it!
