Hi there,
I´ve been struggling with this error for a few days when trying the SMTP Inbound mails:
I´ve already checked several notes, and the proposed solutions (with no luck) regarding this error:
- Note: 2417443
- Note: 607108
- Note: 2203325
I´ve also set the ICM Trace to level 3 during inbound mail processing, to check whats going on ... but I can´t find no hints there:
I´ve also checked:
- SICF Service SAPConnect is active. Activating and deactivating several times didn´t solve the issue.
- The logon user configured in SAPConnect has the proper profile (S_A.SCON), user is type System, and the password has been checked and re-cheched several times.
- Have run the report ICFBUFFER_INIT, ICFTREE_CONSISTENCY, REPAIR_HTTPTREE
Actual Config:
- RZ10:
- SMICM
I´m out of options here ... don´t what else to look at, or how to deep dive into this.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
Happy new year 2023 to everyone reading this!

Did you check this manual: https://help.sap.com/doc/saphelp_nw74/7.4.16/en-us/49/e5e6a986420896e10000000a421937/content.htm?no_...
I think that SAP SMTP cannot do relay, so it can only receive email belonging to the default domain configured on SCOT and to email addresses configured on SAP users.

Hi Manuel,
I´ve also tried with emails in the SCOTs domain and asssigned to users profile in the SU01, but throws the same error.
In my opinion, the domain configuration is only important for outgoing mails, but not for incoming ones.
I´ve got all of this working in a different S4 instance, and it works with "invented" email addresses and domains.
Thanks anyway for the hints!
