Single Maintenance Order Creation

Hi Everyone,

I have 4 different TL, without strategy.

TL1 - Oil filter change

TL2 - Air filter change

TL3 - Gear Oil Change

TL4 - Differential Oil change.

Created 4 single cycle maintenance plan for each.

MP1 - 1 month - TL1

MP2 - 3 month - TL2

MP3 - 5 month - TL3

MP4 - 7 month - TL4

We created it as single cycle due to business requirement. Everything running perfectly for past 8 months.

Now business came up with new requirement, they ll do shutdown maintenance for every six month once. Down time may vary from 2-3 months depending upon the work. They want to use the same 4 TL already created, in the new maintenance plan (Shutdown maintenance). But they require only 1 maintenance order to be generated when plan is scheduled.

I suggested them to create new task list with 4 operations of those above TL, but business says they will use the same 4 TL only and assign them to 1 new maintenance plan.

Is it possible to create 1 maintenance plan with 4 TL and when scheduled should generate only 1 maintenance order with all 4 TL data assigned in it.

As I said, I've never ued this functionality before..

So just to confirm, you can use hierarchical task lists to pull multiple task lists into a single order when using maintenance  plans??
