if you delete purchasing group , then you will not be able to archive the document at a later time.

"Purchasing group 001 not defined (please check your input)" - Message no. ME011 can appear when system finds that the inputted pur. group not exists,

SAP checks while archiving if the purchasing group exists.

Deleting an existing purchasing group can have the following consequences:

  1. Affected purchasing documents: The purchasing group is used in purchasing documents such as purchase orders, contracts, and requests for quotation, and deleting it may result in data inconsistencies or errors in these documents.

  2. Reporting: The purchasing group is also used in reporting, and deleting it may affect the accuracy of reports that rely on this information.

  3. Workflow: If the purchasing group is part of a workflow, deleting it may disrupt the flow of business processes.

Therefore, before deleting a purchasing group, it is important to consider its impact on the purchasing process, data integrity, and reporting.
