SGEN after installation of IDES ECC6.0 EHP3 on Windows 2008 R2 + Oracle 10.2

I have installed  SAP IDES ECC6.0 EHP3 on Windows 2008 R2 from SAP DVD:

Ihave;

* installed oracle 10.2.0.4

* upgraded oracle to 10.2.0.5 version

* executed sapinst

* desactivated archivelog with BRTOOLS

* reboot server

* executed SGEN (client 001 , user DDIC)

SGEN is very slowly (about 1 object by minute....).

When I am looking for job every thing is OK and 8 process are started.

When I am looking on server with task manager I saw that all CPU time is used with oracle.ex and nearly nothing with disp+work.exe.

Remark: I made and other installation (exatcly the same) BUT WITHOUT REBOOT server) and SGEN finished about 1 day....

Many thanks for your ideas.....

Regards.

C.

Hi Charlotte!

Try to update SAP kernel to the latest version and repeat generation after that.

Also check that free space is enough in oracle tablespaces.

Hi Aleh,

Thanks for your anwer

I had already upgrade kernel (level 333).

For Oracle I have looked for all logs but not saw tablesape space warning (or any error)

I didn't change DB configuration: it is standard created with SAPINST.

Best regards,

Charlotte
