I would recommend you to get familiar with the documentation provided by SAP (configuration guide and test script) for the required scenario.
If you are talking about multiple partial settlements for a contract, that's standard.
if you’re talking about multiple settlements for a same settlement date then you will have to split base on some criteria at header level.
