Dear,

Set up time is lot size independent. Because for 10 pc mfg we required 10 min of set up and for 100 Pc also we required 10 min of setup.

Please check your formula of work center for scheduling? Define formula as per your requirement in in multipal of lot size in OP54 then check your result.

Hope clear to you.

Thanks for your input

My client is asking one question :At a time he can process 2 nos together in his machine. After processing this 2 nos he need to put the next 2 nos.So here he spends 2 min for setting his machine. So for processing 20 nos production order he need to do setting 10 times.Hence his total setup time is 20 min.So arter creating order he want to see in order that required set up time is 20 min.Where can we see this. What is the formula to be used.

Dear,

You need to create new formula in OP54 or change existing SAP001- set up formula are as,

= SAP_01 * SAP_09 / SAP_08 (means set up time X operation quantity/ Base quantity)

You can check your resultin CA02ExtraSchedulescheduling after tahat assian variant and then click on result.

Set up time is the fixed time for a lot size .If your set up is variable then you can include this time also in the process time .

Dear,

Then assign same fromula to work center scheduling tab then maintain the time in routing and check.

If it won't work then sent me the screen shot my id is in my profile.

Hi Sarin,

the problem may not be with the formula. Please check the performance efficiency rate key given in work center basic data. It might be defined as 80% or something. Check this and make it to 100%. Then it will be o.k.

when u assigned formula as suggested,

please base quanitity as 2 in the routing and set up time as 2 min.

it should work, if u have set up that time.

simple: use the same formula as for machin time in the standard for set up time.

you will get ur desired result.

Hi

Instead of using setup time for every material make setup time as zero, base quantity as 2 and machine time as the processing time for units + 2 min

may be this will give you the results

thanks
