SERVICE PROCUREMENT VIA SUBCONTRACTING/ THIRDPARTY

HELO,

we havea sales order for frozen foods stock which must be processed under radiation sterilization, but our own machinery has some problems,

now we want to send this food stock to ABC subcontractor who has this machinery and after processing( its like service only right?, correct me if am wrong ...but we dont get any finished producrt), he must directly EXPORT to XYZ customer... how can we implement this ?

Hello,

Normally SD supports Third Party Processing. For Subcontracting process from SD, i suggest you to make some changes in the Item Category and Schedule lines

Mostly subcontracting PR/PO uses L as item category which should be auto populated from Sales Order schedule lines Category in VOV6 ( CS-Leg for your reference)

Although i have never tried this, i presume this should work in Standard . Please make the settings and let us know if you got stuck somewhere in execution
