Serial number in EWM inspection Lot

Hi Team,

Serial number was not getting populated in the EWM-Inspection lot but relevant material document has the serial number. Please find the below screenshot. It would be nice, if get some comments on this issue.

Below are the procedure , we have assigned to the serial number profile.

MMSL ,PPAU,PPSF,QMSL,SDAU,SDCC,SDCR,SDLS,SDRE.

Dear Kumar Semmalai,

thank you for the details provided with the screenshot.

There is currently no integration available of EWM-managed material with serial numbers with the functionalities of the SAP QM (for example, results recording or defects recording of inspection lots).

This restriction is valid for all inspection lots of origin 17.

This is the reason also for missing serial number related setting in the QM view of inspection types of origin 17 in the material master.

If you need the functionality, you might address it to SAP. Please check SAP Note 11 in the topic.

For the inspection lot what is the inspection origin?

Serial numbers are maintained in results recording transaction, they will be displayed in the inspection lot. Enter serial numbers to inspection lot manually in results recording transaction (QE01, QE51N) by using function Edit ---> Serial Numbers for lot.

Thanks a lot for your feedback! . Here, The inspection lot getting triggered from EWM (17). As per my understanding, since EWM inspection lot is not stock relevant. probably, that is the reason, the serial number not getting displayed in the insp. lot.

Yes this could be the reason for it. Inspection lot for delivery with inspection origin 10 or 11 also does not support serial number.

From ECC perspective the Extended Warehouse Inspection (lot origin 17) still behaves as an external inspection process and it is non stock relevant ..

Please read SAP note 2717816 - Inspection Lot Origin 17 in S/4HANA system.

Still have any doubts then open a incident to SAP.
