Send Result of "RSAU_READ_LOG" by E-mail

I would like to run the program "RSAU_READ_LOG" as a background job and send the acquired security audit logs by e-mail. What is the possible way to do this?

I would like to send the log contents obtained by "RSAU_READ_JOB" instead of simple background job (SM37) result status. Would a custom program be required?

The program RSAU_READ_LOG outputs data in an ALV grid, so the question can be reduced how to intercept ALV data by a calling program, you can find answers by searching:

You can follow the steps described here:

and set up 'MAIL' as an output device.

Now in the step definition of your job, specify this MAIL printer as the output device. The Spool will automatically be emailed to the recipient defined in the device, we need little to no development effort using this approach.

Otherwise, the longer approach would have been to add a custom program as the second step in the Job. Read the self-referential job information inside this step, get the spool from the first step and write code to email it and so on...

Hi,

you can also use an email distribution list (tcode SO23) when setting up the job in SM37. This is more flexible than defining a new output device.
