- Users are requesting a way to lock the screen in the source of supply to prevent adding or removing fields.
- The goal is to ensure users cannot re-add the price field after it has been removed, adhering to information security management policies.

Hi,

In the Source of Supply popup, the icon highlighted in the screenshot is the personalization icon, which allows end users to add or remove columns (including the Price field). This personalization capability is controlled at user level and cannot be locked or disabled in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition.

  • SAP’s “Adapt Filters / Adapt Columns” icon is part of standard Fiori table personalization.

  • In Public Cloud, SAP does not provide configuration options to:

    • Disable this icon,

    • Freeze the screen layout, or

    • Prevent users from re-adding a field that exists in the underlying data model.

As a result, even if you remove the Price field through UI adaptation or hide it initially, users can re-personalize the view and add it back, as long as the field is technically available.

If your security policy requires a full lock of table personalization, this would need SAP enhancement.
You can raise it via the SAP Influence Portal, as this option is not supported in current standard functionality.

  1. Get started by opening SAP Customer Influence SAP Continuous Influence sessions for SAP S/4HANA Cloud, Public Edition
  2.  Register and accept the Terms of Use
  3.  Choose a session of your interest
  4. Create and submit your improvement request
  5. Take a look at existing improvement requests and start voting and commenting

Thank you,

Krithika
