Scrap in production confirmation

Dear PP experts,

I have a question about the standard best practice related to Scrap in Production Confirmation.

In my example, I have a production order quantity with 3PC and there is a three operation step in my production order.

First operation, I posted confirmation with yield = 3

Second Operation, I posted confirmation with yield = 2 and scrap = 1

Third Operation, I posted confirmation with yield = 2

After these confirmation, I'm able to post GR for production order with quantity = 2 based on the example production order.

In my understanding, I posted scrap quantity for 1PC for second operation and post GR for yield quantity =2 after that the production order become completed and status should be changed automatically to complete delivered in SAP system and scrap quantity is reflected to production order.

But in my partner system, the status is still left partially delivered and scrap quantity is not reflected in the production order data.

This calculation and automatic status decision logic is not working SAP Public Cloud, or Is it possible to update the status as a completed with the scrap quantity based on configuration?

Kindly helping to solve this issue,

Best Regards

Hi @yKim ,

the scrap fields in your screenshots are used to maintain planned scrap. That's why they are empty although you have confirmed scrap.

The status "delivered" is set automatically if you post a final confirmation with automatic goods receipt of the produced material (e.g. use a control key for automatic goods receipt for the last routing operation). If you receive the material with a separate goods receipt posting the status is not updated. However you could manually flag "delivery completed" during goods receipt posting.

Kind regards
Franziska
