Scope item 6GD - How to obtain a complete report with production variances?

Hi,

In SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition in an ETO process (scope item 6GD), how can we obtain a report with Revenues, COGS and Variances?

Based on this community question Variances are not shown in the Project reports, but only in these three apps:

• Analyze Production Costs - Event-Based
• Order Cost Details - Event-Based
• Product Profitability with Production Variances

The first two are Production Order specific (and so it is not possible to analyze revenues and COGS), while the last one shows figures only if the journal entry is assigned to a profitability segment (SAP help).

However, when using Project with Revenue the postings are assigned to the WBS Elements and only attributed to the Profitability Segment. So these are the two questions:  

1) Is it correct our understanding that "Product Profitability with Production Variances" only shows figures if the Profitability segment is the true account assignment (as it seems from our tests) ? 

2) Does it mean that for scope item 6GD there is no report with this functionality (i.e. to show revenues, cogs and variance components) ?

Yes, the product profitability with production variances only shows value flow from processes with the account assignment as EO, for example make-to-stock, make-to-order with valuated sales order stock. The account assignment PR – project is not showing here. It shows in project profitability, which does not show the production variances as the way in product profitability, this is a known feature gap will be considered in the new report of project profitability, including variance split by categories, COGS and its split for ETO.
