Ladies and Gentlemen,
We would like to understand what conflicts exist between 5W2 and the intercompany scope items.
Let's assume we scope 5W2 and want to activate 1WO afterwards. Would this be technically possible?
Can anyone provide more background information on this topic?
Many thanks
Sebastian

Hello @SebastianB
Scope item 5W2 – Group Valuation in the Universal Journal cannot be used together with the classic intercompany scope items like 1P9, 2TS, 1HO, 1MX, 1WO, or 2F4 due to system restrictions.
The reason is that group valuation elimination logic functions only with the advanced intercompany processes, as elimination is initiated through the Value Chain Manager in the new intercompany setup. The older “classic” ICO flows do not support this trigger and therefore cannot be used together with 5W2.
If you intend to use 5W2, you need to scope the following prerequisites instead.:
This ensures that group valuation postings and intercompany eliminations function correctly.
Let me know if you need further support
With regards
Chuma

Hello Sebastian,
Scope 5W2 is incompatible with classic ICO scenario 1P9,2TS,1HO,1MX,1WO and 2F4 and are not allowed with 5W2. For 5W2 the pre-requisite ICO scope in 5D2 and 5HP instead. The classic ICO SIs are excluded since intercompany elimination posting logic in the Group Valuation ledger only works on the advanced ICO processes, not the classic ones.

Also because the trigger for the elimination is based on the new intercompany sales order/purchase order (the value chain manager). The system can't identify the old intercompany stock transfers as needing to be eliminated. Only the new processes support the Value Chain correctly, the old ones never did.
