SCI error using BAPI to change SO - Syntactically incompatible change of existing functionality

Hi,

We are on S4H 1909 and using a custom report to update SO item details and Delivery details using BAPI BAPI_SALESORDER_CHANGE. But in SCI, it shows an error as "Syntactically incompatible change of existing functionality" at this BAPI call. Checked OSS note 2489676 - where they suggested to use LONG version to pass data and we are doing the same. Even then in SCI, it is showing same error . Can you please suggest how to correct this error.

Maybe it's a false positive then, consequently you have to use

CALL FUNCTION '...' "#EC CI_FLDEXT_OK[2489676]

(the note which is shown in the SCI message)

Actually we are not able to see the entire message also and it is getting truncated.

Is the message truncated even if you export or print the list?

And if you run Code Inspector via ATC?
