The red highlighting in the Gantt/resource view not only shows an overlap of bars but also usually indicates a capacity conflict, for instance, when the assigned work exceeds the resource’s available hours according to its work calendar, or when there is an overlap at a more detailed level, an hourly view that isn’t visible in the weekly zoom.

I recommend checking the resource utilisation view, verifying the work calendar, and zooming in on a daily/hourly level to see where the overload occurs. Other assignments from outside your current filter can also cause the same effect.
