Hello,

In CM25 I will be scheduling operation 10 in the order. Next operations 30, 50 in same order should be scheduled automatically. What setting is needed to achieve this?

Hello

You can try to use midpoint scheduling for production orders. See the details about this feature below:

Hi Caetano,

As per this description it will not help me. I need to dispatch first operation and subsequent operations should be automatically dispatched from the order. I am working in Process order environment.

Hello Devidas

In your original question you mentioned that you would like to have the operations scheduled and now you said that you want them dispatched. Please observe that schedule and dispatch are different actions, so please clarify exactly what you need.

If you just want the scheduling, then the midpoint scheduling should resolve the issue. If you want the operations to be dispatched, it won't happen automatically for all the order operations after you dispatch a single operation. However, you can run capacity leveling in background, in order to dispatch the remaining operations. See the document below for details:

Hi Caetano,

I mean dispatch. Subsequent operations should be automatically dispatched within the order when I dispatch my first operation.

The remaining operations will not be dispatched automatically when you dispatch an order operation. You can run a background job to dispatch all the operations based on the following document:

Hello,

Customizing maintenance of the strategy profile (Transaction OPDB) set indicator of Consider operation sequence in the order.

Please refer SAP consulting note 496852 - Operation sequence for dispatching

Dear Rupesh,

My profile is already set with the indicator, still only first operation getting dispatched. Als there is phase relationship as FS is maintained in master recipe.

Hello,

Please use transaction CM29 with standard profile like SAPPI_G001 for process orders.

Here, the program logic determines the predecessor/successor that

◦is relevant to scheduling (control key),

◦generates capacity requirements (control key),

◦contains capacity requirements according to the standard values.

Hello Rupesh,

I have tried with CM29 with the profile you mentioned. Still only selected operation is getting dispatched. Is there any trick I am missing during scheduling?

Hello,

It should work with overall profile like SAPPI_G001 , SAPPI_G004 and SAPPI_G002

The operations in a process order should be relevant to capacity planning. The duration of an operation is however determined by the lead time scheduling of the phases.

Please check the phase relanship and control key for scheduling and capacity planning.
