Scan barcode to enter serial number in delivery document

Hello,

In our business module there are a few serialized products and the serial number is mandatory in outbound delivery before doing the goods issue. Our business wants to scan a barcode to read the serial number and automatically enter in outbound delivery. We are using S/4HANA Public cloud. 

Has anyone implemented a similar solution on cloud yet? How can I achieve that? Any pointers would be appreciated.

Hello Deepti,

Inventory Management offers barcode scanning (see blog post https://community.sap.com/t5/enterprise-resource-planning-blogs-by-sap/supply-chain-in-sap-s-4hana-c....), but unfortunately Outbound Delivery does not support barcode scanning yet.

Please do me a favor and post your requirement on the SAP Customer Influence Portal SAP Community (https://influence.sap.com/sap/ino/#/campaign/2897). If enough people vote for your request, SAP product management will prioritize the requirement.

thank you for your response. for now we are going to use the 2D scanner after we point the cursor to the serial number field. This seems to be working for now as not a lot of products are serialized.
