SBO MAILER with SSL or TLS in SQL server

Hi,

I can't send e-mail with SBO mailer in SAP ONE for SQL - with no exchange server;I've read all note about this issue, but basically, I don't understand if SAP can work with SSL or TLS;

I can't find the option SSL anywhere, and about TLS it seams there is a specific type of TLS in SAP not supported by my e-mail provider .

So, there is a solution?

I can send e-mail only without SSL or TLS, it works

Hi laplap,

The following is mentioned in Admin Guide:

The SBO Mailer is connected to the SMTP server. We recommend that you use SSL/TLS encryption for the SMTP server connection.

If you use SSL/TLS encryption, you must select Microsoft .Net for SMTP Client during the SBO Mailer configuration.

The version of the SSL/TLS protocol depends on your operating system and the version of the installed Microsoft .Net Framework. For more information about securely configuring the SSL/TLS protocol, see Transport Layer Security (TLS) best practices with the .Net Framework.
