SAP S4HC for advanced financial closing Adoption relevant questions

Our customer would like to do POC for SAP S4HC for advanced financial closing then the customer will plan AFC implementation/adoption. Before starting AFC POC, the customer appreciates a quick clarification for below,

1) Is the customer required to use BTP license for AFC POC?

2) Will the data volume of AFC POC be charged as the additional fee?

My understanding is that SAP will not charge any additional fees for the data volume of AFC POC in non-production and production system, and the BTP platform license fee will not be charged when the customer is doing AFC POC and/or using AFC in non-production and production system.

We are now looking into this scope item 4HG as opposed to scope item 2V8 which is deprecated and will be removed soon.

May I know if you have implemented scope item 4HG?

Hi Julia,

thank you for reaching out.

First, let me clarify that the correct product ID for productive usage of AFC is 8013741.

1) There is no additional SAP BTP license required in order to use AFC. If a customer already has a BTP global account, the AFC service entitlement is added there. Else, SAP automatically creates a new BTP global account for the customer at the AFC subscription contract start date.

2) The data volume doesn't have an impact on the AFC subscription fee, as the licensing metric relates only to the number of closing entities.
