SAP S/4HANA Migration Cockpit: Cannot migrate "Maintenance Order" with specific partner functions

In a SAP S/4HANA OnPrem 2022, while trying to migrate object "PM - Maintenance order" via staging table approach, the following error is happening, likely because of Partner functions tried to be assigned:

Partner maintenance: Partner number missing for an entry with role XX

Message Class:IWO_BAPI
Message Number:707

The tooltip at the excel template says there are two possible partner functions "AB" and "VW". Does it mean we cannot migrate partner functions which are not AB, VW or a copy of both of them? Is there a limitation on the partner functions we can migrate with the standard migrations object? The HELP documentation doesn’t say much about such limitation.

For SAP S/4HANA 2022, "PM - Maintenance order" only support "AB" and "VW" partner functions.

From SAP S/4HANA 2023, the On Premise and Cloud - Private edition customers are able to customize partner functions.

Regardless of how these partner functions are customized, they all fall within a limited range of partner types. For maintenance orders, only the following partner types are supported:

• Customer (KU)
• Supplier (LI)
• Contact Person (AP)
• Organizational Unit (O)
• Employee (PE)
• User (US)
• Position(S)
