Dear experts,
I am implementing SAP S/4HANA public cloud service module for a customer. I have seen that we are able to create service order via the help of the service order template, by clicking on the "copy from template" button or I can create a service order with the button Create service order - Use template
I can't see it in the service quotation or repair quotation. I'm really surprised because the real process flow start by the quotation that I send to my customer to give him the price of the service I am able to deliver. And the purpose of the service order template is really to help the businnes users to fulfill the item tab. I don't understand why the button are not shown.
Can you explain me how does it work, please? Did I missed something ? wthat is the standard process proposed by SAP in this case (step by step) ? or is it in the road map ? (I know that on premise, this fonctionnality already works for quotation).
Thank you very much for your help.
PS : I also expect this functionnality in the repair in house quotation.
Request clarification before answering.
Hello,
The service quotation process in SAP S/4HANA Cloud Public Edition follows these key steps:
Some key points about service quotations:
Currently, the "copy from template" or "Use template" functionality is available for service orders but not for service quotations in the public cloud edition. This differs from the on-premise version where templates can be used for quotations.
The standard process recommended by SAP is to create the service quotation first, then convert it to a service order after customer acceptance. The quotation provides the initial cost estimate and scope, while the order manages the actual service execution.
For repair scenarios, SAP S/4HANA Cloud supports in-house repair processes, but a specific "Repair Quotation" button is not mentioned in the provided information. The repair process likely follows the standard service quotation to service order flow.
Regarding future enhancements, SAP continuously updates cloud solutions, but specific roadmap details for adding template functionality to service quotations are not provided in the given context.
To summarize, while templates are not currently available for quotations in SAP S/4HANA Cloud public edition, the system still supports a comprehensive service quotation to order process. Consider providing feedback to SAP about the desired template functionality for potential future enhancements.
Best regards,
Dequan Xu
