SAP_REORG_JOG

Hey,

I got a question regarding the SAP_REORG_JOG in our SAP HANA.

It is currently deleting old Jobs > 14 days. Our Audit team required to save the Jobs and their status for min. 365 days. So we tried to change the Variant with the transaction SJOBREPO, didnt work with the FireFighter. So we tried a system opening (right english word?!), but we got the message: "SSP(1)/100 Mistake in the Objekt Processing: System settings do not allow changes to be made to the object".

The service provider also tried to change the variant. Problem is, the job always takes the old variant instead of the new one, so its always "overwriting" the new variant.

You know how the job can be changed, so at least 365 days are visible and not deleted? Is there a wrong customizing or is it `not supported by SAP?

Hey Li,

thanks for your answer! I guess the problem was, that we not opend the system for object modification and only for client modification (RSBWO004).

We will discuss the problem this week again and I will also bring up your idea 🙂

Are you still having issue with this?

The error you had is probably: The system needs to have client/system open for modification, or you are not working in the dev system.

Have you try to create the variant from dev and transport to the required system?

For maintaining SAP_REORG_JOG with custom variant apart from default SAP variant:

1) You could first create the required variant for the report used by SAP_REORG_JOG (RSBTCDEL2 for this case).

2) To use custom variant, in SJOBREPO just double click on the technical job SAP_REORG_JOB and change it to the created variant.

Save it, transport will be needed for such change. More detail you could refer to this note 2190119, the attachment point 6 might be helpful.
