SAP Rebate Settlement value Limit

I have created a Contact type for the Rebate Settlement and provided the Condition logic also.

Now, Businesses need, some options for Rebate value Limit. For example:

Rebate 1% percentage for the value 1,00,000 INR

Rebate 2% percentage for the value of 2,00,000 INR

for the 1 year (01.01.2023 to 31.12.2023)

Now needed the system will not capture the Rebate value above 25,000 INR.

Not sure I understood correctly your question but please find some insights below.

If you want to have a limit for a rebate % in your contract you have 2 solutions:

1. Create a fixed amount condition type and assign your limit amount, then use condition exclusion to capture the lowest amount between the 2 condition types (% and fixed amount created).

2. You have to use scale but in your case I believe you should use Graduated scale which is not supported by standard CCM but can be developed.

Scale from and scale To will not work as you expect I think because as soon you will be over the scales value then the overall business volume will be calculated with 0% (will be the case if you want to use scales from or to for 1% until 1.000.000 but 0% after 1.000.000)

Thanks for your reply, my requirement is I will create Contact, maybe percentage-wise or quantity-wise.

For example, the Final settlement is to be posted every month. Condition type may be below:

Contact Period: 01.01.2023 to 31.12.2023

1% after 1,00,000 USD

2% after 2,00,000 USD

3% after 3,00,000 USD

But, I will create a Rebate Limit: of 50,000 USD.

For example, the system calculates the rebate value for the Months of Jan'23: 10,000 USD, Feb'23 12,000 USD, Mar'23: 18,000 USD, Apr'23: 8,000 USD. and May'23 7,000 USD.

Now at the time of the Month of May'23, the system will check the Total Rebate value above 50,000 USD then the system will check only values up to 2,000 USD (50,000 - 10,000 - 12,000 - 18,000 - 8,000)

From the next months, the system will not calculate Rebate values.

Hi Uttam,

In that case, the first option will work but you’ll have to use monthly Partial Settlement instead of monthly Final Settlement.

Thanks for your reply, It's not a permanent solution, my settlement may be an Accrual / Partial / Final settlement. Need to check the credit limit base of Total Contact.

Hi Gauthier,

I’m looking to set up a condition where for example the system charges 1 CAD per EA up to a maximum of 100 EA and anything beyond that isn’t considered, it just stops at the max scale value I define. Your earlier explanation seems to align with what I need but I’m not sure where exactly to apply the exclusion. Could you clarify?
