Dear Experts,
Requirement- Inspection Lot will be created in SAP ECC without inspection plan. This inspection lot information should be transferred to other NON SAP System. Non SAP system sends the UD. When SAP receives the Usage decision from Non SAP system Inspection lot should be closed. We have SAP PI/PO sytem.
Question : What is the best possible way to fulfill this process. RFC or Proxy or IDOC.
Is there any standard IDOC for transferring Inspection lot data (Material, quantity, Batch etcc.. NO charcteristics)
What is the message type and Segments.
Please suggest me best possible way to achieve this.
Thanks in Advance.

Hi,
Check below threads, as they give information on message type for QM

You can turn off the check "insp. with charac." in the relevant inspection type settings. This allows the plan to be assigned as normal but does not create any inspection characteristic data for the inspection lot.
It only needs to have a UD made.
What kind of external system are you trying to hook up too? Must laboratory systems already have experience with integrating to SAP and can usually provide you with necessary info to do this.

Hi Sara,
Thank you for the reply. We can include a dummy charc, but i am unable to find a Standard IDOC which triggers after inspection lot creation and contains insp lot data.

In regards to creating a lot without plan, I don’t think this will work for you. You will need to have a plan with at least one characteristic. Otherwise the lot will not be in the right status to receive a UD message.
There is a standard Idoc for this which you can find easily by searching in your system.
