SAP Public Cloud - Segmentation (LO-SGT) Function Confirmation

Dear all,

Right now we are facing following business requirement and its background is as following:

1. Background: For different FERT product (FERT A & FERT B) have common raw material called ROH 1. Both FERTs are manufactured through external manufacturing (EM) process (Subcontracting). For convenience, raw material ROH1 will be sent to different subcontractor (EM) directly. So they use storage location in PR to identify each EM. 
2. As-Is (Right now process W/O segment function): Right now, users will create P.I.R for FERT A & FERT B, and after MRP run, the PR for ROH1 will be combined into one PR when required date is same. In order to fulfill their requirement (ROH sent to EM directly), they need to manually change PR, either create new line item or just manually create a new PR with different storage location (for EM). This methods need much manually work and check
3. Required function (Process below with Segment): We hope enable standard segment function in SAP public cloud, and set different subcontractor (EM) as Segment. Thus, when we create P.I.R, we can use maintain segment to identify different requirement. And with segment, after MRP run, system should auto generate 2 different PR for different EM.

Right now, in SAP Public Cloud, we do not find any configuration point to activate segment function. Can you please help us on this?

You can create an MRP area for each subcontractor which simplifies the planning process if you have several subcontractors for same raw material

When planning the component materials with subcontracting MRP areas, the system checks whether the subcontracting requirements can be covered by existing inventory at your subcontractor's or whether you have already sent the parts to be provided to your subcontractor. If current inventory at your subcontractor does not cover the subcontracting requirements, the system creates a stock transfer reservation to transfer the demand from the subcontractor company to your company. You can then produce or procure the material and send it on to your subcontractor.

There are two questions:

1. If we use MRP area for our business solution, it seems not workable. Because what we planned is finished product, for FERT we can assign purchase info record to assign supplier, and after MRP run, system will create 2 subcontract PR for 2 different FERT. As raw material are dependent requirement which derived from the PR of FERT, it seems the generated PR of raw material can not be directly switch to 2 different PR but will combine dependent requirement and generate only 1 PR? Please correct me if my understanding is wrong.

2. What's more, just for segment. We checked instruction but we can not find  segment function in SAP Public Cloud. And we checked enabled function module, we do have segment.

We have 2 questions based on your solution and segment in SAP

1. When we using MRP area for our business solution, we do planning on FERT level, and for each FERT (FERT A & FERT B) we can assign purchase info record to them for each different external subcontractor. And after MRP run, 2 different subcontracting PR will be generated for 2 FERT. However, raw materials are dependent requirement, after MRP run, even we use MRP areas, system will combine 2 requirement and generate only 1 PR for raw material. How can we separate 2 requirement and generate 2 different PR directly for same raw material? Please correct me if my understanding is wrong.

2.  For standard segment function, how can we activate standard segment function in SAP Public Cloud Edition? Cause I check we do have enabled function module of segment but we can not find any configuration or data for segment.
