Dear all,
I have a hard time to find out the difference between WBS scheduling and Network scheduling in the project systems.
Could someone explain the differences to me?
Thanks for your help!
Think of Network scheduling as a scheduling tool like MS Project or Primavera where you have tasks, durations, relationships, offsets, floats, critical path, constraints, forward/backward scheduling, etc. NW scheduling is the tool that uses a full blown scheduling algorithm.
WBS scheduling is a simple hierarchical scheduling calculation where lower level WBS dates fit in the window of a higher level WBS or a higher level WBS dates are adjusted to fit its lower level WBS dates. There aren't relationships other than the hierarchy.
