SAP PS Activity Error Encountered During Period Closing

Hello, dear colleagues,

I am an SAP PS Consultant. In one of my projects, while performing period closing, I am encountering the error "Actual activity allocation cannot be used." Normally, I would receive this error if the Network Plan is not approved, but my Network Plan is in APPROVED status.

I urgently need support regarding this issue. Please assist me in resolving the problem.

During what closing step are you getting the error. Please provide more details on the steps you are following. And where is the APPROVED status?

After confirming the approved network plan activity, we check the COFC screen and see that this confirmation is incorrect. While performing the CO material ledger period closing, the closing cannot be completed due to this network plan.

Even if the network plan is APPROVED, each activity must have a status that allows for actual execution. Verify the status profile in BS33 to ensure activities are set to 'REL' (released) and not locked by a user status. After correcting the statuses and ensuring the COFC is clear, the CO period close can be finalised.

So the business transaction RKL 'Actual Activity Allocation' is not allowed for your network in its current status (Message BS 002)

• Can you check in your system, with BS33 on 'RKL' → Where used icon, for system and user statuses that allow or prohibit the process?
• Usually 'REL' would allow the process, but some user statuses or custom development may prohibit it?
• You can also display the information from the display of statuses, click the i info icon.
